What is ESTA?
The ESTA is an electronic visa that allows travelers to enter the United States for a maximum of 90 days. It is necessary for tourists wishing to go to the United States, that they arrive not by land but by air or sea. This is an electronic form that we request online, and which allows the country to know that we are entering the territory, but above all which gives us official authorization. Without this electronic visa, it is impossible to travel to the United States. Many countries, in fact all of them, require a visa to enter/exit the country. The ESTA is nothing other than a dematerialized variant. Canada, for example, also offers an electronic visa, but which has a different name.
How valid is this visa for the USA?
The ESTA is valid for a period of 3 years from the date of validation and obtaining. It is necessary to apply in advance 15 days before your departure, in order to be sure of obtaining it on time. It allows you a trip of up to 90 days, or several trips not exceeding the duration, over a period of 3 years. If you already have an active and valid Esta visa, there is no need to apply for it again if you plan to return to the USA soon. You can therefore combine several trips with a single ESTA without worries. Be careful though, if you plan to leave for more than 90 days, you will need another model of tourist visa. In the same way, if you plan to leave for 90 days and your ESTA expires en route, you will then have to go to the embassy or consulate to try to renew it, or perhaps even renew it online upstream, it’s more careful.
How to fill out the official ESTA form?
The official form to obtain the famous American Tourist Visa, which is then called ESTA, is quite simple in itself.
